It would be fair to describe myself as well-educated, highly progressive, and an ambitious professional. I seek someone who has her own aspirations and ambitions in life. A positive sense of self and outlook, would help a future together.
Both my parents are well-educated, well read and extensively travelled. I have been raised as a global citizen and consider myself fairly liberal. I was encouraged to spend a number of years in cosmopolitan cities across Canada, the US, Switzerland and the Netherlands. I see myself getting along best with someone who has also grown up overseas, or spent a number of years outside India.
People who know me well describe me as a fun, caring, open-minded, intelligent and dependable friend who gets along with nearly everyone. Staying healthy and physically fit are also very important to me.
My hobbies and interests include music, ceramics, reading, playing sports and spending time with friends. I am an amateur pilot, published photographer and certified scuba diver. I spend some time each year travelling, either on my own or with friends or family, to broaden my outlook and to experience new parts of the world.

Both my parents come from traditionally business families.
Our languages at home are English, Hindi and Gujarati.
My father is Gujarati-Jain, Bania originally from Bombay. He has a professionally degree but runs his own business. My mother is Aparna Shah, Gupta-Hindu Bania from Madras, and she is also self-employed. My brother is a director at a local company close to home.
Everybody in my family is university educated, broad-minded and accepting of my choices in life.

My work experience is divided between Silicon Valley, Zurich and The Netherlands. Presently, I work in finance and risk management in a specialized position, in the Phoenix area.
